Accurate tracking, reporting and easy ESG compliance
Celiveo 365 enables organizations to accurately measure the environmental and financial impact of printing by allowing administrators to define the cost and CO₂ footprint of each paper format, in both color and black-and-white, for every printer model in the system.
Configure the printer cost during the on-boarding wizard, or afterward using the icon on the top bar, after selecting the printer(s).
This configuration allows the platform to reflect the specific cost characteristics and CO² footprint for each printer model.
Additional parameters can be applied to account for duplex printing and toner-saving modes, which are defined as percentage reductions in cost and CO₂ impact.

Right after printing, Celiveo 365 calculates the actual cost and carbon footprint based on the real output of the printer, and automatically records this information in the tracking database.
The resulting data is then available through Power BI dashboards and the data export interface, enabling organizations to analyze printing behavior, better understand their environmental impact, and implement strategies to reduce, manage, and compensate their CO₂ footprint.

Average CO₂ per printed page
The exact number depends on assumptions (printer model, paper type, duplex rate, electricity mix), but there are well-accepted lifecycle estimates for office printing.
Lifecycle studies (paper production + printing energy) typically estimate:
~4–6 grams CO₂ per A4/Letter format page
Breakdown (typical values):
| Component | CO₂ per page |
| Paper production | ~3–4 g |
| Printer electricity | ~0.5–1 g |
| Toner/ink | ~0.5–1 g |
| Total | ≈5 g CO₂/page |
